Vintage 1970’s Lace Off the Shoulder Handkerchief Dress by Joie de Vie
This dress is an absolute SHOW STOPPER. “Sizzling hot” isn’t adjectives I’d use for white lace dresses, usually, but this one is hands down one of the sexiest vintage dresses that I have seen in some time!
Vintage 1970’s white lace dress with gauzy white cotton skirt. Handkerchief style skirt that is oh so sheer and floats when you walk. Bodice and waist are fitted with off the shoulder sleeves and straps to hold the dress in place. Truly such a gorgeous dress. Was worn as a wedding dress recently!

Condition: good, but sadly just short of excellent. Has a few very, very small spots on it, less than pencil eraser sized ( I count three), mostly near the waist. Could not get good photos of the spots, not immediately apparent. Needs two or three stitches where the zipper is attached the dress at the top and one of the shoulder spaghetti straps is worn thin but not torn. Otherwise really great condition and structurally sound.
Measurements: bust: 34″; waist: 22-26″; hips: 42″; length: 41″
Best fits xsmall.
My measurements are 37-28-38 and I wear a modern size 4-6.
Measurements are taken while laying flat, across and doubled. Measurements are taken from the outside of clothing, so keep that in mind when sizing. We do have cats and dogs in our household and try to keep them separated from any clothing items, however be aware that there may be pet dander present and you may need to wash items again if you have issues with allergies. All flaws are mentioned in the listing, as we see them. If a flaw slips past, we apologize. If no tags or information present, materials are best guesses. Remember that small imperfections and signs of wear or age almost always are to be expected with pre-owned items, even if they wouldn’t have any specific flaws. But this is what gives them all the individuality and history!
